APPLE FRITTERS and CLEMENTINES to celebrate MARDI-GRAS with dignity

APPLE and CLEMENTINE FRITTERS

Occasional donuts with seasonal fruits: apples and clementines. Donuts to serve with whipped cream

Per person :

½ apple peeled and cut into slices,

½ clementine, peeled and quarters removed

For the dough, 4 tbsp flour

1 p salt

1 tsp powdered sugar

½ beaten egg

10 tbsp of milk

For frying, 5 tbsp oil for frying or 3 tbsp clarified butter

In a bowl, put the flour + salt and mix. Add sugar and mix. Add the egg and mix until you get a very thick and sticky batter. Gradually add the milk until you get a smooth batter. Gently dip the fruit into it and leave to rest for at least 1 hour.
Heat the fat and as soon as small bubbles form, fish out the fruit and plunge them into the frying pan. Fry them on each side then fish them out and place them on a cloth or paper towel. To be enjoyed hot, warm or cold. Nice kitchen to all, Régine
