A truck hit the SNCF bridge on Avenue Eisenhower in Avignon on Friday morning around 10:00 a.m. The utility vehicle became stuck under the bridge protection bar. No one was hurt.
The traffic of cars and trains has been cut off the time of the intervention to check that the collision had not damaged the bridge or the railway tracks.
A month ago, another bridge in Avignon, the famous Saint Bénezet bridge, was hit by a truck despite the presence of signs prohibiting access to the road for oversized trucks.
