Another teenager is stabbed in Montreal

A 16-year-old boy was stabbed Friday night in the parking lot of a public swimming pool in Parc-Extension, Montreal.


A teenager was stabbed in the parking lot of a public swimming pool on Friday evening.

Around 6:40 p.m., the police located a teenager injured in the upper body by a sharp object outside the Saint-Roch swimming pool, located near Jarry Park.

“According to initial information, a group of suspects attacked the victim. […] The suspects would have fled, ”said the spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal Marianne Allaire Morin.

The teenager was then transported to a hospital. Still conscious, he was in stable condition.

No arrests have yet been made in this case.

This is at least the fourth teenager to be stabbed in a public place in the metropolitan area in daylight.

On September 22, a 16-year-old boy was stabbed as he left a restaurant located opposite a private school in the Saint-Michel district.
