Another 42,500 customers without electricity in Quebec

(Montreal) The situation is gradually returning to normal at Hydro-Quebec.

Power had not yet been restored to more than 42,500 Hydro-Quebec customers as of Monday morning.

More than 400,000 customers were affected by the blackouts over the weekend.

These blackouts were caused by the strong winds that blew over the south of the province and the weather conditions caused “significant damage”, explained Hydro-Quebec.

“In particular, there is a lot of work to be done to clear fallen trees and branches on our network and to carry out the necessary repairs. In several places, it will be necessary to replace one or more wooden poles, ”added Hydro-Quebec on Sunday evening.
