She had arrived in Paris Soufflot Street for her studies, she has many memories of picnics in the Jardin du Luxembourg. The first shock was the meeting with the Belgians. They are very welcoming but are always a little annoyed by our “rushed Parisian” side. They encourage people to take the time and allow themselves to be welcomed gently and quietly. The reports are simple and generous.
Angelique is lucky to live in a house with a garden and a fireplace. Brussels is very extensive and green in its periphery. Rents are much cheaper than in Paris. But people are taxed at 50%.

Belgian gastronomy is not very interesting. We eat, apart from fries, shrimp or cheese croquettes. On the other hand, the chocolate is excellent, it’s a real way of life. We consume it everywhere, in the street, at any time of the day. There are a lot of good little world cuisine restaurants in Brussels.
Corn the “French baguette” is 2.10 euros, it is a luxury product. The beer, to be drunk in moderation, is excellent.
Belgian relaxation is infectious! Example: long queues are never a problem for Belgians.
