“In accordance with local guidelines, there will be no regulations regarding vaccinations, tests or masks at Coachella 2022”, can we now read on the event’s website. However, it indicates that the directives of the authorities could change by the start of the festival on April 15.
Organizers also insist they cannot guarantee a COVID-19-free environment. “By entering the festival site, spectators voluntarily assume all risks associated with exposure to COVID-19,” it says on the web.
It’s the first time Coachella has been held since the pandemic began. In 2019, some 125,000 festival-goers per day took part in this outdoor event, one of the largest of its kind in the United States.
The Stagecoach country music festival, which is also held in California, also announced that there would be no health measures related to COVID-19.
