An investigation was opened by the Nanterre public prosecutor’s office after death threats received by the Ibn Badis mosque in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine) in a letter dated at the beginning of October, the Nanterre public prosecutor’s office announced on Friday, November 3. “There was a complaint [de la mosquée] last Sunday, the investigation is being carried out by the Nanterre police station”, specifies the prosecution.

In this letter signed by “the friends of Charles Martel” and addressed to the mosque, anonymous people promise, in the event of an attack by “your Islamist brothers”to burn “randomly your Koranic schools, your mosques, your businesses”.

She said to herself “extremely concerned by the sharp rise in acts and speeches harming groups, people and property because of their religious affiliations, whatever they may be, in France.”
