An investigation was opened by the Paris public prosecutor’s office for “violence in meetings due to sexual orientation with a weapon leading to incapacity for work of less than 8 days”, after a homophobic attack that occurred on Friday March 15 in the evening in the 10th district of Paris. This is what franceinfo learned on Sunday from the Paris prosecutor’s office, confirming information from Parisian.

A man says he was attacked at around 10 p.m. while he was at a bar with friends. According to him, another customer approached and threw his glass and then a bottle in his face, before starting to hit him and other people.

No arrests yet

The investigation is also open for “violation of the privacy of private life by fixing, recording or transmitting the image of a person of a sexual nature and damage to private property during a meeting”. The investigation is entrusted to the police station of the 10th arrondissement of Paris, no person has been arrested to date.
