An influencer who joked about the death of an Israeli baby tried in immediate appearance

An influencer who joked in a post on a social network about the death of an Israeli baby in connection with the Hamas attack in Israel will be tried on Friday, November 10 in immediate appearance, indicates the Paris prosecutor’s office in a press release.

This 37-year-old woman, who was arrested and placed in police custody on Thursday, will be tried for “apology of an act of terrorism by means of an online communication service” and “public incitement to hatred, violence or discrimination based on origin, ethnicity, nation, race or religion.

In a publication posted online last week, the influencer was ironic about the seasoning and accompaniment of a baby who was allegedly put in an oven by Hamas. Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin announced last Friday that he had taken legal action after the influencer’s post.

An Israeli rescuer said a baby was placed in an oven by Hamas members during the October 7 attack on Israeli soil, but Israeli authorities have not confirmed this version.
