China is overwhelmed by cases of respiratory illnesses. Hospitals are overwhelmed. The World Health Organization has requested detailed information.
Endless queues are observed in pediatric hospitals in China on Friday, November 24. Dozens of children suffer from respiratory illnesses. Faced with the increase in cases, the World Health Organization (WHO) warns: “WHO has made a formal request to China for detailed information on an increase in respiratory illnesses and pneumonia outbreaks reported among children.”
France also affected
In December 2022, China ended health restrictions linked to Covid-19, a year after European countries. This late lifting could be the origin of these virus outbreaks. A bacteria, mycoplasma, could be at the origin of the epidemic. In recent days, it has also been circulating in other countries, such as France. The WHO asks us to readopt certain barrier gestures, such as wearing a mask.
