Black notebook. This Saturday April 22, 2023, Len Goodman, emblematic member of the jury of Dance with the stars in the United States, died of complications from bone cancer at the age of 78. Famous ballroom dancer, Leonard Gordon Goodman, of his real name, began his career on television in 2004 by joining the jury of the show Strictly From Dancing alongside Arlene Phillips, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli. Subsequently, it was in the ranks of the American version of DALS that he distinguished himself before announcing his departure from the show in 2022 due to his health problems.
In an interview, Len Goodman had yet revealed that he had almost not participated in the adventure. It was only at the last minute that the production called on him. “I was called three days before the first show. At first I was like, ‘I’m just a dance teacher from Dartford and suddenly I’m being thrown into Hollywood.’ I have a reputation for being a tough judge, because what I see is what I say”he confided.
