Cannabis plants were discovered at the home of an elected official from Cournonsec, south of Montpellier, in Hérault, reports France Bleu Hérault on Wednesday October 5. On Tuesday, two gendarmes criss-cross the Cournonsec sector when one of them smells a strong smell of cannabis. Guided by their sense of smell, they arrive directly at the elected representative of the Hérault commune. On the spot, they discover about fifteen cannabis plants in the garden, voluminous plants which suggest that they have been there for several months.
The next day, accompanied by a dog, the teams return to the site and discover a laboratory in an outbuilding. Inside, an installation to be able to treat the harvest but also to condition it for “bulk sale”according to a source familiar with the matter, contacted by France Bleu Hérault.
