To be able to take advantage of the joys of the mountains while offering strong sensations. This is possible when you are disabled thanks to the Quadrix. An all-terrain electric wheelchair suitable for people with reduced mobility. #TheyHaveThesolution

It is the 4X4 of wheelchairs. Its name: the Quadrix. This all-terrain wheelchair was invented in Haute-Savoie by a hiking enthusiast. Paraplegic at the age of 18 after a road accident, Jean-Luc Fumex never imagined giving up the mountains or his autonomy. He then designed an electric wheelchair with which he could travel everywhere, including on steep paths. “It really goes everywhere, the chair with four independent wheels, so it accepts the deformation of the ground like very steep slopes“explains the designer of Quadrix, co-founder of Mont-Blanc Mobility.

Composed of an aluminum frame, the machine can travel up to 25 km / h, has 80 km of autonomy and can climb up to 1400 meters in altitude. It allows people with reduced mobility to have the same sensations as with a mountain bike. Equipped with a joystick at the level of the hands or the chin, this FTT adapts to all types of handicaps. Jean-luc Fumex created his company, located near Annecy, fifteen years ago. A hundred models are produced each year, sold between 10,000 and 15,000 euros. A tidy sum, a small part of which can be covered by Social Security and mutual insurance.
