AC/DC performs at the Longchamp racecourse on Tuesday evening. Fans are excited because their idols have not been to Paris since 2016.
A shower of lightning will shake Paris on Tuesday, August 13. AC/DC has reconnected the power and is celebrating its 50th anniversary. The hard rock veterans and their leader Angus Young, 69, promise a deluge of hits.
For fans of all generations, it was impossible to miss the event. “We are really excited, we have been waiting for nine years”confides a young man.
In half a century, the recipe has not changed: overpowering guitar riffs and stripped-down drums that have conquered the world. The group has sold 200 million albums. The secret of its longevity? “Their rigor”according to the critic Philippe Manœuvre, who adds: “They’re just here for the rock.”
The Australian group has, however, weathered many storms, including the death of its first singer in 1980, and that of the group’s co-founder, Malcolm Young, in 2017.
