American rapper Travis Scott was arrested on Friday August 9 at the George V hotel in the 8th arrondissement of Paris for assaulting a security guard, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office, confirming information from Current Values.

According to a source close to the case, the rapper was heavily intoxicated and agitated. He refused to blow into the breathalyzer to assess his alcohol level. An investigation has been opened. It has been entrusted by the public prosecutor’s office to the first district of the judicial police.
The American rapper, the new spearhead of the American hip hop scene, had been seen a few hours earlier at Bercy during the men’s basketball semi-final between the United States and Serbia.
The Houston-born rapper – real name Jacques Bermon Webster II – has become a figure in American rap and has released four more albums, including the hit Astroworld (2018). He has already had some legal troubles across the Atlantic. In June, he was arrested in the United States, in Miami Beach (Florida), for disturbing the peace while he was drunk.
