Amber Heard at its worst: this new twist after her lost lawsuit against Johnny Depp

It has been more than a month since the very media trial between Amber Heard and her ex-husband Johnny Depp ended in the court of Fairfax (Virginia). After several weeks of confrontation, Johnny Depp emerged victorious. Accused of defamation, Amber Heard was ordered to pay him $8.3 million damages.

But problem, his insurance company refuses to pay him part of the sum. According to DailyMail , the 36-year-old actress had purchased a million dollar liability insurance policy from the New York Marine and General Insurance Company. The goal was for it to settle some of the young woman’s damage. California law indicates that the insurance company is free to refuse payment of a million dollars in the event that Amber Heard has committed a fault characterized as “deliberate” and “malicious“. This refusal to pay by the insurance is a blow for Amber Heard who already last June was “devastated that the mountain of evidence was not enough to deal with the far greater power, influence and ascendancy of (her) ex-husband“, she said in a statement posted on Twitter.

A new trial for Amber Heard?

On Friday, July 8, Amber Heard’s attorneys delivered a second document requesting a new trial in Northern Virginia. According to them, two people who had the same last name as Amber Heard resided in the State of Virginia. A summons had been sent in April to a 77-year-old man, but it was a 52-year-old man who appeared in court in Fairfax and served on the jury. “It is deeply troubling that someone not called to jury duty would nevertheless show up and serve on a jury, especially in a case like this.”wrote the lawyers in the document obtained by the DailyMail. Believing that the wrong person was part of the jury and had spoken against Amber Heard, the lawyers of the actress therefore requested a new lawsuit for defamation.
