Cult credits
In Vernon, he lives in a wing of the old Château Saint Lazare. A place steeped in history. Of this type of stories that fascinate Alexandre. That’s probably why he spent his life telling stories. It started when he was not 30 years old. With a friend they start writing cartoon credits. They notably sign the music of Denver, the last dinosaur, Gaby bear Where cat’s eyes. In today’s fifties, it speaks. It even remained cult. No kidding. Except that Alexandre, cartoon music is food, odd jobs. Even that he is not proud of it, at the time. It’s limit shame, for the musician that he is. To the point that he then takes the nickname Bernard Rissol to sign the works.
The Cartoon Storyline
One thing leading to another, Alex became a long-term partner with the ever-changing world of drawing. He will compose the interior music, those that accompany the little viewer throughout the episodes. Then he begins to script. The small screen adaptations of Titeuf or of vic the viking, for example. A hell of a job. The TV is a faucet with uninterrupted programs. When Alexandre directs a series of 78 episodes, that represents 8 hours of programs… They have to be written!
A virtual tourism agency
4 or 5 years ago, Alexandre came across a book. We see the streets of Vernon, his city, as they were in the 1930s. Before the bombings and the disfigurement of the city. The subject interests him, he begins to document himself. He searches, he searches, to find the old face of his city, before it fell under the bombs. That’s how he met Nicolas Deschamps, another siphoned off of Vernon’s past history and architecture. Together they decide to ride theVernon temporal tourism agency. A fake tourist agency whose purpose is to virtually recreate the city at different times. A city that you can then visit wearing your virtual reality helmet.
