Agreement in principle from the FAE | The decisive vote is extended to the Haute-Yamaska Teachers’ Union

Contrary to what was expected, the Haute-Yamaska Teachers’ Union did not transmit the result of its decisive vote for the Autonomous Federation of Teachers (FAE) regarding the acceptance or rejection of the agreement in principle of the government.

At the meeting, members asked that the vote take place over 48 hours. The results should therefore come out on Friday, finally.

Other unions have come under fire in recent weeks due to votes held in the wee hours of the night.

Note that at the FAE — which negotiated on its own, outside of the common front — four local unions voted for their agreement in principle, four others voted against; Granby teachers are the ones who will break the tie.
