Saturday September 23, 9,000 demonstrators marched against police violence in Paris. In the procession, a police vehicle was attacked by hooded men. Gérald Darmanin denounces unacceptable violence.
According to the police, there were 9,000 demonstrators beating the streets in Paris on Saturday September 23. They are gathered to denounce what they call the “systemic police violence”. The demonstration took place peacefully until 4:30 p.m.. A police car then passes near the procession. Hooded men rush to the vehicle and begin to violently attack it.
Unacceptable violence
The police officers try to flee in the middle of the traffic, but very quickly find themselves stuck in traffic jams. The crowd catches up with them and begins to attack the vehicle again, some with iron bars. A police officer finally gets out of his car and points his gun at the rioters pto make them go back. He rushes back into the car. Other police officers come to intervene to protect their colleague. Saturday evening, the Minister of the Interior denounced unacceptable violence against the police.
