Following simultaneous explosions of pagers, Lebanese Hezbollah was hit between Wednesday, September 18 and Thursday, September 19 by explosions of walkie-talkies.

Hezbollah suffered a major attack on its means of transmission and communication. Bait stations and walkie-talkies were booby-trapped and exploded, affecting thousands of members of the Lebanese militia. When the news of a second wave of explosions spread throughout Lebanon, concern and distrust spread among the population.

The unprecedented modus operandi in its scale terrifies the Lebanese: thousands of simultaneous and deadly explosions, torn off hands, disfigured faces. Israeli secret services are said to have infiltrated Hezbollah’s supply logistics in depth and planted a few grams of explosives on each device. The Lebanese accuse Israel of being behind these sophisticated attacks, but the Hebrew state remains silent and has not commented on the subject.
