A noticeable disappearance. The academic and eminent jurist Mireille Delmas-Marty, professor emeritus at the College de France, died on Saturday February 12 at the age of 80, her family announced on Sunday.

Born May 10, 1941 in Paris, she began her career at universities in Lille and Paris, and was ddoctor in law and agrégé in private law and criminal sciences. Since 2002, she has been a professor holding the chair “Comparative legal studies and internationalization of law” at the Collège de France and since 2007, a member of the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences.

His passing sparked a wave of tributes over the weekend. “What a great and beautiful conscience that is leaving”, regretted on Twitter the philosopher Edgar Morin.
