about sixty demonstrators mobilized against the vaccination pass

About sixty demonstrators gathered this Saturday on Place Bonnyaud, in Guéret. They were protesting against the vaccine pass that the government hopes to put in place around January 15. Last Thursday, the National Assembly adopted at first reading the bill that transforms the health pass into a vaccination pass. The Senate is due to consider the text next week.

At the end of the morning, the demonstrators took the direction of the Adrien Arfeuillère roundabout. Véronique Ferreira de Matos, assistant to the town hall of Guéret in charge of participatory democracy, education and youth, was in the procession. For her, the vaccination pass is not the solution to stem the pandemic: “we can see today with the omicron variant, whether we are vaccinated or not, the virus runs ! “, she says. According to her,”we have to take care of the public hospital. The problem today is the lack of resources in hospitals, it’s not this virus“.

For some demonstrators, the pass is unconstitutional and liberticidal. “This will lead to classifying the population into several groups, worries Hélène, those who are reluctant, those who do not want to be vaccinated and those who submit completely. These people will have different rights depending on their status“.
