Second hitter of the first inning for the Bronx Bombers in their opener against the San Francisco Giants, the right-handed hitter sent a shot from starter Logan Webb over the center field fence for a long solo ball, at the big Yankee Stadium crowd pleaser.

Due to the early hour of the game, Judge became the first four-goal scorer of the major league campaign. In 2022, he surpassed Roger Maris’ record of 61 homers which dated back to 1961. However, the all-time high in the big leagues still belongs to Barry Bonds: with the Giants, he hit 73 in 2001.
