Anti-A69 activists planned a ZAD attempt in Tarn on Saturday October 21. Sunday, after several hours of occupation, the Zadists were dislodged by the gendarmes, giving rise to clashes. Nine people were arrested.

Sunday October 22, the gendarmerie armored vehicles were the first to enter an old farm, occupied by opponents of the highway A69. Very quickly, clashes took place with stone throwing on one side and tear gas and defensive bullets on the other. Tension is high among the demonstrators. “It’s a huge repression”believes a demonstrator. Another said he had “tinnitus” And “fear for his life”. Faced with the means deployed, the young activist quickly understands that the fight is unbalanced.

Anti-riot barriers

In front of them, there are 600 gendarmes. The clashes left a few injured on each side. Sitting in the middle of a field is Thomas Brail. His arm is probably broken. The emblematic figure of this struggle says he received baton blows. His determination remains unwavering. Nine arrests took place. Sunday evening, the farm is no longer occupied. It is protected by anti-riot barriers, a desire displayed by the prefect of Tarn. In the field next to the farm, around 150 activists are still on the scene. In the evening, calm returned.
