A young woman dies in a pileup caused by a wild boar on the A64

It seems that it is a wild boar which is at the origin of this pileup, north of Salies-de-Béarn. According to the first elements, around 8:30 p.m. this Friday, a car hit a wild boar, near Bellocq, at the interchange, on the A64. The emergency services were alerted but very quickly, a second car came and crashed into the first, and a third. A pileup that killed seven people according to firefighters.

A young woman of about 25 died in shock, she was probably in the second vehicle. As for the other victims, drivers and passengers, three had to be transported by the emergency services to different hospitals, in Bayonne and Pau. The firefighters were about twenty on the spot. Initially the A64 was closed on this axis, Pau-Bayonne, then reopened on one lane only.
