The police were called around 1:30 p.m. for an assault in front of a business in the 10e avenue, near boulevard Robert.
The victim was stabbed to the upper body and transported to a hospital, said officer Gabriella Youakim of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM). “According to the information gathered, it is a possible labor dispute between the two parties which would have degenerated,” she added.
The suspect, a 21-year-old man, was arrested shortly thereafter. He appeared in court on Friday. The Director of Criminal and Penal Prosecutions (DPCP) had not yet responded to requests for The Press regarding the nature of the charges and the identity of the suspect at the time of this publication.
