A young girl who is doing well, the first feature film written and directed by French actress Sandrine Kiberlain, will be released in North America.
The Film Movement house has acquired the distribution rights for North America, the specialized website announced on Tuesday. Screen Daily.
Starring Rebecca Marder, the film examines the journey of Irene, a young 19-year-old Jewish woman who, eager to become an actress, will make her way with a certain carefreeness in the Paris occupied by the German army in 1942. .
Presented this summer as a “special screening” at Cannes Critics’ Week, the film is partly based on Sandrine Kiberlain’s family history, but the character is entirely fictional.
In France, the release ofA young girl who is doing well is scheduled for January 26, 2022. We do not yet know when the film will hit our screens.
