A young driver under the influence of cannabis flashed at 132 km / h on a road limited to 50 in Haute-Garonne

This is called excessive speeding. This Monday, February 7, the Haute-Garonne departmental road safety squadron carried out a check in Monstaunes in the south of the department, near the border with Ariège. Around 11:45 a.m., soldiers from the Estancarbon motorized platoon flashed a Golf 7 at 132 km/h on the D117. An axis located in agglomeration on which the speed is however limited to 50 km / h.

Cannabis positive

The 18-year-old driver of the vehicle had obtained his driving license in September 2021: he therefore held a probationary license which was immediately withdrawn. In addition to his speeding, the narcotics test he was subjected to proved cannabis positive.

His vehicle was immobilized at the request of the Saint Gaudens prosecutor’s office. He will soon have to explain himself to justice.
