“It makes the difference in people’s lives. Everyone who’s going to come here is going to have a better night. ”It is in this spirit of mutual aid and solidarity towards people who are alone or in need that Sylvain Gosselin, Josée Ruel and their family held their holiday dinner at the Chaudronnée de Sherbrooke on Friday evening.
On the tables surrounding the dining area, dozens of gifts from the population and bags of food prepared by businesses and convenience stores in Sherbrooke awaited visitors, in addition to a good hot meal cooked on site.
“Taking ten, fifteen, twenty minutes, being warm, talking to people and having a Christmas meal like everyone else, that can help,” says Ms. Ruel, co-organizer of the dinner.
