A third FAE union will recommend rejecting the agreement in principle

A third union affiliated with the FAE will recommend to its members to reject the agreement in principle reached with the government, a trend which illustrates the disappointment of many teachers after a month of strike.

Some 200 delegates from the Laval Region Education Union (SERL) met Tuesday evening to discuss the agreement in principle.

By majority, they decided to recommend the rejection of the agreement, we learned The newspaper. Their members will meet to vote in a general assembly on Thursday.

The SERL is therefore added to the two other unions affiliated with the Autonomous Federation of Education (FAE) which will suggest to their members to reject the agreement, namely the Syndicat de l’enseignement de la Haute-Yamaska ​​(SEHY) and the Pointe-de-l’Île Education Union (SEPÎ).
