The thaw in effect in southern Quebec will be accompanied by light snowfall in certain sectors, while a winter storm is coming to the Gaspésie and the Îles-de-la-Madeleine.
Environment Canada forecasts intermittent snow with accumulations of 2 to 4 centimeters for Estrie, Beauce, Mauricie, Quebec, as well as part of Bas-Saint-Laurent, as of Tuesday morning.
In areas further north, such as Saguenay and the North Shore, the same weather conditions will prevail with, however, colder temperatures, since the mercury will be around -10 degrees.
In Montreal, the Laurentians, Abitibi and Montérégie, there is a risk of freezing drizzle on Tuesday morning, when temperatures will approach freezing, according to forecasts from the federal agency.
For areas further east, a winter storm warning is in effect, with 20 to 30 centimeters of snow expected during the day Tuesday in Gaspésie and the Îles-de-la-Madeleine.
“Visibility will be poor in the snow and blowing snow Tuesday evening and overnight from Tuesday to Wednesday”, with gusts of 90 km / h, said the federal agency.
