Many Tarbais, like her, regret the completely free full hour. Nonetheless, it is not no turning back which is proposed today by the City. The new option submitted to everyone’s opinion consists of having the first 30 minutes free, once a day.

Those who want to can therefore vote online at the city’s website

Marc Andrès, municipal councilor in charge of parking ensures: “It is the Tarbes who decide and we will apply their choice without discussion.” The elected nevertheless recalls that keeping the hour and a quarter of parking at 40 cents would make it possible to bring into the coffers of the city around 500,000 euros per year.

It is reduce the cost of free parking provided by the community and taxpayers. “Each parking space costs 200 euros per year in maintenance,” explains the chosen one. If the free half-hour option were to win the majority of votes, it could be set up in mid-December, time to reset all the parking meters in town.
