A reunion for Radiohead? | The Press

The members of the British group Radiohead could well find themselves for a new project during the year, according to the words of drummer Philip Selway to the magazine Spin.

“We were very focused on the album Kid A Mnesia, and I think it would be a natural conclusion to come back to a reissue around that, ”he said in an interview with the American music magazine. “We’re going to get together in early 2023, and I’m sure we’ll start looking for other ideas for what’s next. Hail To The Thief… It’s been a long time since this record has been recorded, hasn’t it? »

The group’s guitarist, Ed O’Brien, had spoken last summer about the future of the group, without however promising anything: “It could happen, or… it could not happen. Does it matter? »

Radiohead’s latest studio album, A Moon Shaped Poolwas released in 2016, then the group started its last tour in 2018 before launching a reissue of the albums Kid A and amnesiac in 2021 (Kid A Mnesia). Some members have since embarked on other projects; Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood notably formed the band The Smile with Sons of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner.
