Popular with people who like to dine and then celebrate under one roof, the Sauvage restaurant was the host of several drunken evenings. The place, which opened in the spring of 2022, was known for its Mediterranean cuisine, its atmosphere and its many music shows live.

The place had recently launched a new restaurant/speakeasy concept called the Green Room to complement the supperclub-type upstairs offering with bottle service. Installed in the basement of the restaurant, guests could eat in complete privacy in Le Sauvage’s Green Room while discovering the menu signed by executive chef Matthew Bell.

“The Green Room is the perfect blend of fine dining, fine privately imported wines, lounge music at a reasonable volume, and a cozy ambience to spend a lovely evening without the hectic pace of the ground floor,” says Matt in a press release announcing the arrival of the Green Room.

However, an arson attack occurred around 4:20 a.m. on the night of June 28 to 29. On social networks and in the media, images of a broken window are circulating. La Presse reveals that according to initial information, it would be a Molotov cocktail thrown by one or more suspects. Fortunately, the event caused no injuries.
