An emblematic figure of the Miss France competition for nearly 30 years, Geneviève de Fontenay left us on August 1, 2023. In fact, this Saturday, December 16, TF1 and the committee wanted to pay tribute to the famous Lady in the Hat during the 94th edition of the competition. 38 ex-beauty queens such as Marine Ltemporel, Sonia Rolland, and Elodie Gossuin, were present for the occasion. After admitting to having cried in front of his screen, Hubert Guérin “had fun” transcribing the words that Geneviève de Fontenay might have said in front of this tribute. “She would have said that it was too long and that the folk costumes don’t look like anything”he assured before adding: “She would have said that we don’t modernize folklore. She was easy to criticize, but faced with the tribute that her Misses paid her, she would have cried.”
On the other hand, the presence of Sylvie Tellier still annoys him. As he has already made it known, a few days before the Miss France competition, Hubert Guérin does not understand the presence of the former boss of the committee and has cut her again.
