A Quebec teacher suspected of sexual assault on minors

The police are asking for the public’s cooperation to find out if a teacher who lives in Quebec and who is suspected of sexual crimes against minors could have caused other victims.

Mathieu Bonneau, who is 38 years old, was arrested on October 27 by agents of the Laval Police Service (SPL) who had received help from colleagues from the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ).

The offenses with which the suspect is accused allegedly occurred in recent years. Although he lives in Quebec, Mathieu Bonneau allegedly indulged in sexual touching of minors during visits to Laval, according to what the Laval police believe.

The suspect has been a teacher in the Quebec region for more than ten years and investigators believe he could have caused other victims. They are invited to contact the police.
