, Camélia Jordana remains very discreet about her personal life. Born in Toulon in 1992, granddaughter of Algerian immigrants, daughter of a concrete transport company manager and a personal development therapist, Camélia Jordana rose to fame on M6 at the age of 16 only. In 2010, she triumphed with her very first single, No, No, No (Listen to Barbara), and has since become a recognized artist. His last album, which contained the title Fragile in 2021, some 25,000 copies were sold. A small failure for the one who is also accomplished in cinema and on television now, as an actress, since she received the César for Most Promising Actress in 2018 for The Brioand was nominated in the César category for best actress in 2021 for The things we say, the things we do.
With Louane, Camélia Jordana shares this rare common point of being two women revealed by a talent show who subsequently managed to obtain a César. But if Louane is very talkative about her private life (she is the mother of little Esmée with musician Florian Rossi), Camélia Jordana is much more silent. The committed and feminist artist, who fought against police violence associated with racism, against the responsibility of white men in “all the evils of the earth” (controversial remarks from which LICRA had dissociated itself) or more recently against pension reform, has however had a very rich sentimental life in recent years, and almost got married…But Camélia Jordana said no at the last minute!
The psychologist pushed her to stop everything, she listened to her
Indeed, questioned by Marie-Claude, the Toulonnaise revealed that she had left her partner two weeks before marrying him. It was following an appointment with a psychologist that the singer realized that the man was not made for her, and preferred to leave him: “It was a friend who recommended this good psychologist to me. I was going to marry a man, and my friend said to me: Go see this person. I bless her, because thanks to her, I took my legs around my neck“ rejoices the singer today, who did not give more details as to the reasons which pushed her to flee this man before he became her husband.
Today, this aborted marriage has left its mark, and Camélia Jordana is much more reluctant with regard to the relationships she enters into with men, whether friendly or more if there are affinities: “Love twists the brain, because it affects self-love. We enter into the irrational. I am more cautious than before when launching myself into love. The people who enter my intimate circle are people who took the time to meet. Whether they are my friends, my closest professional partners, my lovers, my lovers. I can’t be in an intimate relationship with someone who doesn’t know each other.”.
