In the countryside, dentists, doctors and public services are lacking. In Haute-Marne, a truck comes to collect the mail, but not only that.

On the roads of Orne, a post office on wheels is in full swing. This novelty attracts the curious to a village of around a hundred inhabitants. Here, you often have to travel many kilometers to take the slightest step. The experiment should affect 13,000 inhabitants in five departments, such as Saint-Maurice in Haute-Marne.

Two visits per week

To make the daily lives of French people far from post offices easier, the postwoman offers the same service. They will also be able to make bank transfers or update their situation on the Caf or France Travail website. Two visits per week are planned. In Haute-Marne but also in the Ardennes or the Meuse, at least 10% of the population lives more than 5 km from a post office.
