A police officer was injured on Wednesday February 14 by an individual with psychiatric disorders near Lens. The agent was injured while assisting paramedics who had to transport a man from his home in Bénifontaine to the hospital, according to the Pas-de-Calais prefecture, to France Télévisions.
When the police arrived, the individual who had to be hospitalized threw a knife at the police officer and injured him in the eyebrow. The father of the individual was also slightly injured by his son’s stabbing while he tried to control him. A police officer then used his weapon, injuring the suspect in the right shoulder.
