Two connections per week are planned, on Tuesdays and Saturdays, from April 1 to October 31. “The objective is to create a link with London-Stansted airport, already connected to Nîmes, to reach more than a hundred cities in Europe“explains the president of Nîmes Métropole. A stopover at Dublin airport will also make it possible to carry out all the entry formalities for travelers going to the United States, before their departure, thanks to the system of “ preclearance (= US border pre-clearance facilities). ” In close connection with Nîmes Métropole, this teamwork enables the airport to begin diversifying its network to connect to new tourist markets and anchor the positioning of Nîmes airport as the gateway to Greater Provence », underlines Grégory Merelo, director of the airport.
