The Véloroute gourmande is a 235 km route through Montérégie and the Eastern Townships with more than a hundred attractions to discover along the way.

Restaurants, cafes, dairies, microbreweries, orchards, cider houses, vineyards, distilleries, shops and public markets are among the many stops on the road, to be chosen according to your desires and scattered in radiuses of approximately 5 km in order to to facilitate, in particular, family cycling initiation trips.

The Gourmet Véloroute can be discovered in segments, at your own pace and even over several days since it is marked out in addition to some 70 accommodation options (hotels, inns, lodges, campgrounds, etc.). A baggage and passenger transport service is also offered by a supplier.

The result of a partnership between the tourist offices of the Eastern Townships and Montérégie, the Véloroute gourmande crosses 23 municipalities and 3 national parks. Of its 235 km, 81% is on cycle paths and more than 60% on asphalt, with the aim of making the experience pleasant and safe.

The route can obviously be undertaken in both directions, but the strength of the winds would make the route towards Sherbrooke easier, despite a higher elevation of 150 m.
