A new car competition launched at Le Mans with Squeezie, the most famous Youtuber in France

With his 17 million subscribers, he is the France’s most famous content creator : the youtubeur Squeezie announces this Thursday the launch of a new car competition, which will bring together on October 8 next 20 drivers from the ranks of “influencers” on the Bugatti circuit of Le Mans. The Grand Prix Explorer will be streamed on Squeezie’s Twitch channel.

A way to reach a new audience

Among these influencers, we find in particular the duo of the Youtube channel crankshaftknown for her humorous automotive videos, or LeBouseuh, also present on YouTube and Twitch. Divided into ten Formula 4 teams, the drivers will go through several training phases before the race, supervised by motorsport professionals under the aegis of the French Motorsport Federation (FFSA). So many videos in perspective on YouTube, Twitch or Instagram, and therefore opportunities to highlight the Le Mans circuit with increased strike force.

For the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, organizer of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the strategic interest is obvious: the partnership with these influencers should make it possible to reach new audiences as the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans approaches and to modernize the image of motorsport. The different communities of these stars of the 2020s include several million teenagers and young adults, even if other generations are unaware of their existence.
