In a few days, companies have seen their daily lives completely turned upside down due to the lack of personnel, stopped because of the Omicron variant.

At a baker, two employees usually behind the oven are in contact. The boss has been managing all the production alone for a week, which is enough to be a bit confused. “It’s been 14 hours of work”, summarizes Sébastien Hayertz. The same goes for the store, where the lack of arms comes at the worst possible time, January being traditionally the best month of the year. Employee absences are accumulating across the country and in all sectors. The stoppages linked to the Covid are all the more problematic as they are currently added to the absences for leave of certain employees.
