A musical parody of Star Wars presented at the Fringe Festival

The original Star Wars trilogy, episodes IV, V and VI, is the inspiration for a musical parody that will be presented as part of the St-Ambroise Fringe Festival in Montreal.

From June 8 to 19, at the Théâtre La Comédie in Montreal, the work directed by Catherine Bastien will offer an adaptation of George Lucas’ films built around original musical compositions and recent hits. Edith Cardinal, Jonathan D’Amour, Léonard Châteauvert, Sylvain Junior Giroux and Clara Bardakji are among others part of the cast

“We have been creating musical parodies with popular music for 16 years. We are very happy to present our last show at the Fringe,” said Raphaëlle Proulx-Tremblay of Productions de l’Épopée in a press release.

This one also reveals the synopsis: “Enter the Millennium Falcon and rediscover the original Star Wars trilogy, but this time, Obi-Wan will dance with a lightsaber, Darth Vader will sing and Luke… will French his sister. »

The Fringe Festival will run from May 29 to June 18.
