A serious accident occurred on the RN165 on Tuesday evening near Candan (Morbihan) in the Nantes/Quimper direction.
Around 9:30 p.m., a pick-up traveling in the wrong direction hit a truck. The driver of the car, a 35 year old man, died on the spot.
The 21-year-old semi-trailer driver was slightly injured and taken to hospital in Lorient.
There was then an additional accident involving 3 vehicles. A 51-year-old woman was also slightly injured and also transported to Lorient hospital.
Traffic was blocked until midnight on the RN165 with the establishment of a diversion.
Eighteen firefighters rushed to the scene.
