A woman and four children were found dead in an apartment in Grenoble (Isère), Friday evening March 11, the prosecution announced on Saturday. The children, three boys and a girl, were aged 3, 8, 10 and 12. They “were all lying on the mattress of a mezzanine and the body of the mother was located under it”said the Grenoble prosecutor.

“At this stage, the preferred hypothesis is that of the murder of the children followed by the suicide of the mother, without the reason being known yet, he added. But any other hypothesis cannot be ruled out.
