A girl and a woman, her mother according to the first elements of the investigation, were shot dead Monday, April 4 in the Marne, announced the prosecution. A man, presumably the father, suspected of having killed them, was taken into custody.
The victims were shot dead in a caravan near Loisy-sur-Marne, while police were preparing to arrest a couple, wanted for having kidnapped the 9-year-old girl several weeks ago, said the prosecutor of Chalons- in Champagne, Ombeline Mahuzier.
The family had obviously taken refuge in this caravan installed not far from the road, where the hygienic conditions were deplorable, specified the magistrate. The little girl had been placed with the child services and her parents had kidnapped her several weeks ago, triggering the opening of an investigation entrusted to the judicial police by the Auxerre prosecution.
Late Monday afternoon, police officers from the Auxerre PJ heard detonations and discovered the 47-year-old woman and the girl fatally shot in the head. They immediately arrested the man who was at the scene, also 47 years old.
An investigation for “spouse homicide” and “homicide on a 15-year-old minor” was opened and entrusted to the research section of the Reims gendarmerie.
