Emergency services received a call around 7 p.m. for a person with stab wounds near the intersection of Sainte-Catherine and Beaudry streets, in Ville-Marie.
“The three suspects, two men and a woman, fled before the police arrived on the scene. There are therefore no arrests at this time,” said spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), Caroline Chèvrefils.
The victim was found conscious more than 2 km away, at the intersection of Frontenac and De Rouen streets. She was injured in the upper body and transported to a hospital.
According to agent Chèvrefils, the first information indicates that the victim was walking in the company of a woman when an altercation with the suspects degenerated. The scene has been secured and an investigation is ongoing.
