A man injured following an attack in Saint-Michel

(Montreal) A 38-year-old man was allegedly stabbed near a business in the Saint-Michel district of Montreal on Tuesday evening.


The event occurred around 5:15 p.m. near the intersection of rue Villeray and boulevard Pie-IX.

The man with upper body injuries was taken to a hospital.

A 42-year-old man was arrested by the police near the scene, said spokesperson for the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), Jeanne Drouin.

Transported to the investigation center, he will be met by the investigators to determine his involvement in the event.

The investigators as well as the forensic identification service must go on site in the evening.
