The field hospital is now operational in Turkey, Tuesday, February 14. The needs are immense in the country, which lacks everything in the face of the tens of thousands of people injured in the earthquake.

Thousands of families are left to fend for themselves in the greatest destitution. In northern Syria, a country still at war, humanitarian aid is scarce due to lack of access. The homeless must learn to survive in the cold. It was -4°C on the night of February 13. “I beg the authorities to give us shelters, tents, I would have preferred to die not to experience this”cries a survivor. Some have the feeling that fate persists.

A hundred patients expected

In Turkey, white tents are lined up in the middle of the ruins to house survivors. AT Gölbasi (Turkey), the French rescuers who arrived on Sunday, hastily set up their field hospital. The first patient was treated in the afternoon of February 14. A hundred more are expected, whatever the pathologies. A maternity room has even been installed.
